Circular Motion and Angular Speed

So this is a cool experiment to show how angular speed is not the same as speed.

The wheel clearly is turning at different distances per second. (v = 2pir/T)

However, ...
the angle that each part on the spoke turns per second is a constant. (omega = theta */t or omega = 2 pif

You can do this with a marker and stopwatch instead of the fancy gates!
